How do you guys study textbooks (like genki)?

So I actually already have an effective way although it takes so long. Re-writing the content actually makes me remember it more but it as i said, it takes so long so do you guys have any other ways?

  1. Literally only use the book as a grammar reference guide. However I still do the readings and listening in the books as free immersion. I skip all the exercises. I finished each genki chapter in a few days at most. Then just do your normal immersion (reading and listening), with your book nearby in case you run into a grammar point. This repeated exposure will gradually allow your brain to absorb the grammar points.
