Looking for a strong deodorant in Japan

Hello, I’m currently living in Osaka and I’m finishing the deodorant I brought from Europe which are stronger than the Japanese ones and when I use the Japanese ones is not enough so sometimes I smell a bit.

Do you know where can I buy western deodorants? Or Japanese deodorant brands that are strong enough?

  1. You can find a lot of western products on Amazon. They might be on the pricey side but the most famous brands have sometimes bulk purchases options that are interesting.

    Edit: typo

  2. I use a product called Drichlor that you don’t have to apply every day. Then I can use anything from the drug store here and not worry about it’s strength. Amazon doesn’t have Driclor but it does have Perspirex which seems to be similar.

  3. Amazon for sure, but you could also try an import shop. I found some at one in an outlet mall once.

  4. I’d work on the cause. There’s nothing worse than very strong deodorant and body odour. Unfortunately one doesn’t mask the other.

  5. I recommend more natural product .

    this is ”Alum” , call ” myo-bam”

Since alum is a food additive used in cooking to remove scum and prevent boiling, it is safe to use on the skin. Such alum has the effect of reducing sweat and sweat odor.

You can find them at any grocery store which costs around 200 yen or so.

    Try that!

  6. Tawas. You can get it online as a powder or as a translucent stick, like a roll on. Put it on after showering, works a charm.

  7. Check the women’s section. Rexona Antiperspirant Deodorant Roll-on – Unscented. It’s strong and lasts as long as men’s western deodorant.

  8. LPT: pure baking soda is a very effective
alternative if you ever run out of deodorant in Japan

Dust a little on and you’re good to go

You can also mix in a bit if cornstarch
    for its antiperspirant properties too.

  9. Don’t. Japanese hate strong perfume/deordant on foreigners. Unless you’re happy to walk around meeting the stereotype.

  10. リフレア cream (it s for girls)
this is the only thing that works for me, doesnt have any fragrance to it. Also use some sweat pads to stick in ur shirts

  11. I got one of those crystal deodorants off Amazon over the summer because I ran out of western deodorant. I was super skeptical that it would work but it’s been great, not only is it effective but also super cheap and lasts forever.

  12. This is such an issue. I have my mom mail me a box of personal hygiene stuff from Canada in bulk every year. Deodorants, proper toothpaste, etc.

  13. I tried Japanese deodorants and every time they gave my armpit a rash. So now I just get my parents to send me a bunch in Xmas parcels/buy some off Amazon when I’m running low.
