Was having some trouble with this:
> えらそうに、俺のことを注意しやがって。
Context: A man is complaining about his rude boss.
I don’t get what しやがって is. The rest may mean, “Self important, careful of me(?)
Studied Japanese in American highschool and was left with gaps in knowledge in daily conversation (which I only came to realize now that I’m here in Japan). Would going through the genki textbooks be a good way to fill in my gaps in knowledge and balance out my Japanese?
そしてあんたは危険な橋を渡らなくて済むってわけか
does なくて済む mean something along the lines of “ended up not needing to?”
” And look at that you didn’t even have to do anything dangerous” Is this roughly what is being said?
“十歳になって**しばらくたったころ**、友だちが「あたし、かあさんのあとをついで美容師になるんだ」といったのを耳にして…”
I’m not sure how to interpret the bolded phrase. しばらく and たった are adverbs if I understand correctly, but how do they interact with the noun ころ?
How far should I get through the Cure Dolly YouTube series? I think I read a while ago that it gets lower quality/less useful around episode 25, where should I go from there?
