Might just be me but in the UK embassy I expected an interview too with lots of questions and got none at all. They just wanted me to hand over my documents over the counter they were behind and asked basic questions about the forms and birthdate for validating. I was done in a couple minutes. Was more like submitting a form at the post office.
I would just maybe get your itinerary memorised for prep in case.
In Netherlands I didn’t even do an interview, don’t be too worried, if you just fill in your powerwork honest, don’t have a criminal record and show interest in Japan it seems unlikely you’ll get rejected.
None, they just check that the form are properly filled, they might ask questions if there is missing or wrong info. I wrote that I would like to work in one of the documents and they said the aim of the visa is holiday not work and asked me to change it on the spot. Went back a week after to pick up my visa. And yes in Montreal
