Just picked up Wrath of the White Witch on Steam for $9.99 USD. (You can change the language to Japanese via Steam Options)
I would say it’s very beginner friendly as all the kanji has furigana. Most of the text you can move at your own pace and it’s a great story!
Not to mention Studio Ghibli did the animations 😊

I got this game for the first time when it released when I was 11. I am now 20 and I absolutely adore it. It was also the first video game story to make me feel for the characters. I have bought it 3 times, Ps3, ps4 and PC. *Almost bought it on ps5 too*. And honestly never thought to change the language to Japanese. Thank you for reminding me.
Everyone should try this game.
This game is when I first encountered how many liberties translators take with translation sometimes.
For example, “心配しない” becomes “Not this one!” in an early cutscene.
What about the first game? Same sale price
