Hello everyone,
I’m going to Japan next May, and after several exhibitions from japanese outsider artists in my country, I’m looking for an outsider art/art brut museum or gallery.
Right now, I’ve basically found nothing of the sort, but if anyone has recommendations, I’ll be glad to hear about it 😊
I’ll be travelling (roughly) between Chugoku and Tokyo, so anything in between is the best

Unfortunately, you have to look for exhibitions at places primarily dealing with modern art from individual galleries to places like Bunkamura, Abeno Harukas Art Museum, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art in Kanazawa, or Adachi Museum of Art.
It’s worth noting that with regard to contemporary Japanese artists – it takes a fairly long time to get enough recognition to be featured in a permanent exhibition. Unfortunately this means, if you are looking for specific type of exhibition – you need to do a deep dive 2-3 months before your travel on what would be available during your stay, browsing museum/gallery website as well as collective (such as [Atelier Corners](https://corners-net.com/exhibition/)) webpages.
