Itinerary check: 10-day trip for Osaka, Nara, Koyasan, Kyoto, and Kinosaki Onsen in mid Feb 2023

I am planning for a trip to Kansai with my boyfriend for mid-Feb 2023. It is the first time to Kansai region for both of us. We are planning to cover Osaka, Nara (day trip), Koyasan, Kyoto, and Kinosaki Onsen in 9-10 days. We would appreciate a sense-check of our rough itinerary below, with following focus:

* **general scheduling** \- We are concerning if some days are too aggressive with too many things planned, and are flexible of moving things around between days, or removing items if necessary.
* **takkyubin** \- we are both new to the takkyubin, and not sure if our plan of using it between our hotels in Osaka/Kyoto and our hotels in Kyotos would make sense:
* If we send our luggage to our hotel in Kyoto from Osaka in the morning, when should we expect it to be delivered?
* If we send our luggage between two hotels in Kyoto, what would the delivery timeframe be? Would it be problematic if our luggage is delivered a day before our arrival?
* **transportation** \- we are planning to rely on trains between these destinations. Should we consider any rail passes or any alternative means of transportation? For the Koyasan portion of the trip, we are thinking using Nankai’s Koyasan World Heritage ticket.

Any guidance is appreciated! Thanks in advance!

  1. I wouldn’t leave Fushimi Inari Taisha for the day of your departure. You won’t be able to time manage it.

Kyoto station itself is pretty cool, you could explore it a little bit on your last moments in Kyoto and eat ramen on 10th floor while there, a floor dedicated to just ramen restaurants.
