  1. [Chukasoba Seijo Seika](https://youtu.be/4_Q-aYmL0iQ) has been the biggest shio ramen surprise for me this year with their absolutely fantastic shio ramen.

Situated near Roka-Koen station, it’s the main shop in the area to draw long lines, although the interesting ramen shop Chukasoba Kitsune might also be worth checking out.

What makes this bowl so great is the really clean and impactful tasting soup, which seems to have elements of chicken, fresh fish and niboshi in it, although I could not yet confirm exactly what’s in there. Another highlight was the chashu and the chashu rice bowl (not in picture), which is made with sous-vide prepared chashu which is simply incredible. Almost worth checking out just for that.

You can see a bit more of this ramen shop and the bowl, as well as the rice bowl in this short video: [https://youtu.be/4_Q-aYmL0iQ](https://youtu.be/4_Q-aYmL0iQ)
