Itinerary Check Kyoto-Osaka-Hakone-Tokyo

Hello. I just wanted to see if there were any opinions on my itinerary. It will be me, my wife, my mother-in-law, my 9 year old, and my 19th month old.

**Day 1 (Friday)** – Arrive at Kansai Osaka airport around 7:00 pm. Get Icoca & Haruka pass , and pocket wifi. Take train to Kyoto station and walk to hotel hopefully arrive between 10 and 11 pm. I will be staying at Mimaru Kyoto station with the Pokemon room.

**Day 2 (Saturday)** – Recover from travel. Will see if we can go to a shrine in the morning nearby. 3 pm book tea ceremony for my wife, my mother-in-law, and my 9 year old. My toddler and I will probably just walk around and look for wagashi. I’ve wanted to taste Manju in Kyoto after watching the anime Deaimon.

**Day 3 (Sunday)** – Maybe try to go to the starbucks in Kyoto. Checkout of Kyoto hotel. I will then go to Osaka to another Mimaru hotel. Not sure which one yet. I might have my luggage forwarded versus just bringing it ourselves. Arrive to Osaka in the afternoon, go to Dotonbori. Look to try food (takoyaki, ramen, curry, a5 wagyu, okonomiyaki, conbini), not all of them at the same time since I will look for these food in Tokyo too. Maybe Osaka castle.

**Day 4 (Monday)** – Go to Universal Studios. My 9 year old wants to go to Super Nintendo World. I will try to get express passes before. If time permits will try to hit another location after the park if not too tired.

**Day 5 (Tuesday)** – Checkout and have luggage forwarded to hotel in Tokyo. Plan to go to Hakone for a overnight stay in a Ryokan. Travel to Ryokan is 4 to 5 hours. So we might just wake up, checkout, get breakfast and take the long trip and maybe leave between 7 and 8 am. Lunch at Hakone and see where we can go sightseeing near Hakone Yumoto station. then go to Ryokan by 3 pm. Book Kimono through the Ryokan for my wife, mother-in-law, daughter. Enjoy the Ryokan with private onsen in the room.

**Day 6 (Wednesday)** – Checkout of Ryokan. Do some light sightseeing in Hakone then travel to Tokyo. I still have to look for a Tokyo hotel and will probably stay at another Mimaru or maybe a Hotel MONday hotel.

**Day 7 to 10 (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)** – This one I will have to plan the days. Plan to go to the following in no particular order:

– Akihabara

– Look for cherry blossom (will also look for them while in Kyoto and Osaka)

– Tokyo Sky Tower

– teamLabs Planets

– Kirby cafe

– Pokemon cafe

– Pokemon center

– Shibuya crossing

– Akihabara

– Maybe Tsukiji outer market

– Look to try food (takoyaki, ramen, curry, a5 wagyu, okonomiyaki, conbini)

– Maybe try to go to Tokyo University of the Arts Museum (my wife and I love the Blue Period anime)

– Try to find an arcade and a cool park. Maybe Ueno park

– Souvenir shopping

**Day 11 (Monday)** – checkout hotel, maybe have my luggage forwarded to the airport so we can explore more freely. Flight back is either 5:00 pm at Haneda or 5:20 pm at Narita. There is probably not a big difference between the 2 flights, although I know Haneda is closer than Narita.
