Can anyone recommend fiber supplements I could find at a drug store?

I got my health check results back today and my cholesterol is shit… low HDL and high LDL.

I didn’t want to order in iHerb and wait a week for it to arrive.

Any kind is fine with me, dissolving, pills, food, jelly, whatever as long as it’s fiber cause I need to switch those HDL and LDLs ASAP lol

  1. I second psyllium husks – around 5g a day is good. I mix it into my oatmeal or Greek yoghurt. Fantastically soft, bulky, non-stick stools I could set my watch by.

  2. Avoid fast food and soda, I got my cholesterol under conttol in a year by not eating those two, without popping pills.

For fiber, get aojiru 青汁, drink with milk or soymilk, or just water.

  3. You’re quite likely to end up on statins and they’re not that bad. Diet contributes to about 15% of your cholesterol production the rest is regulated by your liver. It’s probably a good time to stop drinking too.

  4. “Easy fiber/イージーファイバー” is a flavorless dissolving fiber powder that you can get in most drugstores. I know at least MatsuKiyo has a way cheaper generic version, too. Jelly with konnyaku or aloe is another option!

  5. konyaku jelly snacks, those often refrigerated konyaku jelly juice packets, shirataki and konyaku, doesn’t matter if it’s a block or in ito form.

    good luck friend

  6. I drink this barley leaves powder called 山本漢方 大麦若葉 青汁 every morning. It taste nasty but they’re packed with fibre and minerals….
