Do you have COVID paid vacation days in your company?

Hi.
I was just wondering if anyone here have paid vacation for when in case they get infected with corona.

My company doesn’t have it but would be lovely to have a week of paid vacation instead of using my 10 days

  1. Yes, they’re called sick days. You can use these for every disease, including covid.

  2. We do, but only once. There’s yet to be discussion about what’d happen if someone got it again.

  3. No such thing as medical leave in my company. Lousy as if may be, pretty sure some Japanese companies still have this practice where you would have to use annual leave for Covid, influenza, fever, flu etc. My company evens deducts pay for time taken off to take Covid vaccine. Even changing uniforms time is not paid and 5 minutes will be deducted at the start and end of shift.

  4. Yes. My company has special paid leave that can be used for getting a vaccine, taking a day off after a vaccine if there are side effects, being exposed, and testing positive. The general stance is that if it’s COVID related and the local health department would tell you to stay home, then it’s special paid leave and you should stay home.
