Hello All,
I’m wondering if anybody knows of an app that will directly translate Japanese to English. What I mean by this, is I’m looking for something that would translate the phrase 名前はMichaelです to “The Name Michael Is,” rather than how we’d actually say it in English.
Obviously, I could do this the tedious way and translate everything by hand but if the technology exists, why not use it, right? Thanks in advance.

Are you looking to learn Japanese? Or merely to hamstring your efforts to learn Japanese?
Why would you want this? If you understand what you’re translating then the syntax shouldn’t cause issues.
I’m not trying to be dismissive, but how would this benefit you?
ichi.moe
Something like, [ichi.moe](https://ichi.moe) or [nihongodera.com/tools/text-analyzer](https://nihongodera.com/tools/text-analyzer).
Something like [mirinae.io](https://mirinae.io) for Korean would be preferable, but I don’t know of such a tool.
What’s even more rare is a tool that spits out a direct but grammatical translation. I’ve never come across that before.
Pasting a sentence in Jisho will give you a dictionary entry for every word easily accessible, but it won’t give you the complete phrase.
