I used to be a really broke japanese-language-school-student and left Japan with some unpaid bills/fines 5 years ago. I’ve purchased Iphone with docomo on installment which I never finished paying off and got 2 parking fines (scooter) which were never covered as well.
Things got better now and I had some thoughts to relocate to Japan for Ph.D/employment, but still question if immigration would actually let me in with such history. Obviously I would love to pay off all the bills/fines with interest if that’s an option.
Has anyone encountered (or know someone who did) such cases before? Any advice/tip would be great. Thank you.
