My Kanji Progress

So for years, 漢字 has daunted me. I learned ひらかなとかたかな, and started learning 漢字but was always scared off and never took that extra step. Well, about two months ago I decided to crack down and started using WaniKani to learn, since it’s something I can do at work throughout the day (heh.) I’m Lv.4 rn and it really is nowhere near as bad as I thought it was, and is actually fun, especially challenging myself in my adult years. I still need to practice grammar and whatnot, so gonna do 元気 with bunpro I think. But I’m also thinking I’ll pick up RTK, since it really doesn’t seem that bad anymore.

  1. When I started learning Japanese, 漢字 also daunted me. But as I progressed, the grammar turned out to be much harder to improve. I am preparing for the n2 now, which tests 漢字 up to around grade 6 (~1000) and believe it or not, the 漢字 section is easiest, and also the must fun to study, for me.
