Itinerary Review – Overdoing it? 21 Days in Japan (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka)

Hi, I’m solo traveling (23f) to Japan for 11 days. In Tokyo, my goal is to eat at unique restaurants and cafes, buy all the merch that I’m not able to get in the states, and find cool vintage collectibles/music. In Kyoto and Osaka, I’m hoping to visit tourist attractions by seeing shrines, going to a monkey park, and visiting theme parks. Does this itinerary seem reasonable for each day? I’d like to optimize my time there as much as I can. Thanks!

  1. Day 7 might be tough. The places are pretty much all across Kyoto and it will take some time to get from A to B to C to D, especially if you’re going to spend some time at each place.

Edit: when are you going to be in Kyoto?

  2. Good itinerary that’s not suicide like most on this sub. You should be able to do everything and have extra time for random things you see from the looks of it.

Did you book at kirby cafe? Reservations release for the entire next month at 6pm on the 10th in japan time and they book out entirely soon after.

Also for the ginza day I’d recommend checking out itoya which is a fancy stationery store right near uniqlo and muji.

For gigo in akihabara if you’re going because it’s iconic then yeah id recommend it but if you just want to go to an arcade in japan I’d recommend not akihabara. The staff there is not as nice when it comes to helping you win and the machines always feel harder to win in my experience.
