Planning a 7day Japan trip in march as a first timer to Japan. Any suggestions/recommendation to add/remove from my itinerary?
Likely going in mid-march, not sure if there will be a chance to see cherry blossom
Day 1:
8am Arrive in Narita airport -> fly to Fukuoka (visit Fukuoka castle ruin& Nishi park for cherry blossom)
Day 2:
Visit Hiroshima castle/Hiroshima National Peace museum/ Atomic Bomb dome (either 1 or 2 of those places)
Train to Osaka, visit dotombori district
Day 3: Visit Nara
Day 4: Train to Tokyo, visit Shibuya & Akihabara
Day 5: Day trip to Kawaguchiko
Day 6: Visit Tsukiji Market/ Ueno park / Ginza
Day 7: Spend some time in Tokyo before evening flight back

Cherry blossoms are reasonably likely in Kyushu and Hiroshima in mid-March, but they do vary by year depending on the weather. You can look at the dates of past blooms in the areas you are visiting to get an idea of the likelihood of seeing them.
For Day 2 I would skip the castle if you have to pick only two. Himeji is in the area you are visiting and is a real wooden castle and not a concrete reconstruction. Osaka Castle is also a concrete reconstruction but might be easier to fit into your schedule since it seems like you are staying overnight there two nights.
