Reporting abuse at work?

So how does this actually go? I’ve dealt with so much abuse at my jobs here but I was always too scared to report it. How does a foreigner go about reporting abuse from their bosses?

  1. I forget the direct place you can contact. But when I was looking Hello Work was the place that gave me the phone number to the right place.

  2. Is this a “real” company or the blackest of the black arts industries that feeds upon the souls hopes and dreams of foreigners the English Teaching Industry?

In general your first step should be your manager. If, however, your manager is the abusive individual this creates a problem doesn’t it. In that case you should discuss with HR.

Additionally, many companies have an independent legal office to deal specifically with things like power harassment. There should be signs up in the office with a phone number you can call.

Good luck, god speed, etc.. And pray it’s a real company and not one that smells of brimstone and sulfur and has a big sign with “Abandon Hope Yee Who Enter Unto This Place” over the door.

EDIT: Saw below you are a teacher, may Dog have mercy upon your soul…
