Hi! My friend and I will be arriving in Japan from March 23–29 (hopefully there’ll be cherry blossoms)
We’ll be arriving via Nagoya airport due to some reasons and departing via Kansai airport.
We are planning to buy the JR wide pass for 7 days.
Do you guys have any recommendations on what additional passes we should buy for easier transport

I dont think a JR pass is anywhere near worth it for this trip. you can use a calculator for the pass and it looks like you would be wasting ~10000 yen going with the pass while dealing with the inconveniences of it.
It is probably best to just get an IC card (pasmo/suica) and use it for all train travel while just paying for shinkansen tickets to get from tokyo to osaka.
