My employer is looking at using a GEO *(Global Employment Organization)* to continue employing me in Japan. I’ve talked to a few of them, but they all seem to be pretty similar. I would love to hear some “watch out for X” or “Y was cheaper and easier” type stories to aid in choosing the best one. I’ll be using them to sponsor the visa as well.
Any advice on choosing a good GEO? Please name names!

Anything above 10-20% of pay is overpriced (as a service fee).
You don’t get to pick them generally because you’re not the one contracting between the companies. Your company should be doing this research. They’re just glorified Temp Agencies.
Have you heard of [deel](http://deel.com/)?
I go through Velocity Global. Their fee is around 14% of my salary. Can’t complain, they have their stuff in order and haven’t had any troubles with them. 14% feels pretty hefty though, but I guess it’s the cost I have to pay to stay here.
No idea about any other GEOs, my company did the research, though I hear deel is cheaper.
