English conversation teacher or English assistant language teacher.
What is your Japanese level?
I was a international business major and I had similar naive thought – that my major could easily help me find a job in Japan. Well, if you want to move to Japan for work, it turns out knowing Japanese is a lot more important than what your major is.
I know IB is not the same as IR, but I can guess there are very few jobs where they are specifically asking for IR majors to move to Japan, unless you also speak Japanese.
So, I think your best bet is to focus on getting Japanese fluency in order to be able to apply for jobs in Japan, or look into jobs in Japan that dont require Japanese such as an English teacher.
I know that may not be what you want to hear, but I wish someone told me this when I was in University so I could have approached my job serach differently. Good luck!
