How would you input 二?

I have just installed fcitx-mozc in Linux and entered “ni”, but there is not “二” but “2” in candidates. Please see this [demo](https://imgur.com/a/sXdMCiv).

EDIT: Actually what I want to input is a kanji 二 that means 2.

  1. Japanese people type something longer, like a phrase or clause or whatever before converting. That, combined with you typing には which doesn’t make a lot of sense if you’re using に as a number, results in 二 being much lower on the possible conversion.

Also, in case you haven’t noticed – you seem to be getting 102 possibilities. Have you checked lower on the list?

  2. Katakana suggestion is usually at or near the bottom. So you’d press up to scroll to the bottom and look from there.

But usually you’d have a button or keyboard shortcut to switch between Hiragana, katakana and romaji, so easiest is to use that. Seems to be F7 in this case (but you should check the manual to make sure)

  3. Press space instead of tab if you want conversions rather than suggestions

And if you want to type katakana press F7 or Ctrl+i to convert the current segment (or everything if you haven’t hit space yet)

  4. Don’t type に. Instead type 2. As in the actual number. That way when you press space you’ll find 二 very quickly. If you use Google IME it should migrate to the top of the results if you select it even once.
