Tokyo itinerary for January 14th – 23rd

Me and a friend (both 20M) are flying put to Tokyo next Friday, we will arrive on Narita at 19:20pm and head tonour Hotel in Asakusa. We’re going to walk to Senso ji and get food then try and get some sleep (coming from DUB which is 9 hours behind), for Sunday I’m expecting we’ll wake up after 12 and head to Ueno Park area and then evening at Tokyo skytree.

We will fly out on Sunday 23rd at 23:30pm in Haneda, where would the best place to store our bags be and is there anything we can do on the Sunday? I want it to be relaxed so we’re not rushing for our flight at the end of the day.

Any advice on if this is too much to start with or if we can add more along the way will be appreciated

Saturday -Hotel // Senso-Ji // Food in neighbourhood

Sunday – Tokyo Skytree // Tokyo National Mueseum // Ueno Park/Zoo

Monday – Tokyo Dome // Tokyo Tower

Tuesday – Fun2Drive // Improvise evening

Wednesday – Akihabara // Owl Cafe // Art aquarium mueseum // Uniqlo Ginza

Thursday – Nara Day Trip // Night in Shibuya (not decided yet)

  1. Best place to keep luggage…. the hotel? Just ask them to keep if for the day.

You could move things that are close to Asakusa to that day, like Ueno/Skytree. So just go back to hotel after Skytree to pick up luggage. Or just bring it with you to store in a coin locker in the station around the area you want to visit.

Doing a day trip to Nara is in my opinion a bad idea and a total waste of money. First thing, it will cost 30 000 yen to do the round trip and from Asakusa, it’s a good 4h one way. So considering how little time you can actually spend in Nara, really not worth going in my opinion.
