Digital artists in Japan, what stores/places do you recommend for first time drawing tablet shopping (specially used)?

I have been wanting to get a tablet for occasional digital drawing/sketching. However, I dont leave my house that much and already have a comfortable setup here on my pc (I leave my house maybe like once a week). The reason why I finally decided to get one is because maybe I’ll be going to a once-in-a-month digital sketching event and dont want to draw on my phone. Also maybe use it a few times if I ever go to the office in person to use it while on my breaks.

For this reason, I dont want to buy expensive and new tablets like iPads for something I’ll barely use. So I’m really looking into the used electronics market here that I know it’s pretty good overall. Pretty much just get something cheap and good enough, and if I see my usage increases, save money and get something more expensive later on.

I’m based in Kanagawa so I just only know good ol’ walking to Akihabara and hope to find something. However, I would love to know some stores/places in advance worth checking out to save some time (and money).

Also I noticed how the affordable samsung tablets usually available overseas are almost non-existent here, which really sucks. Maybe someone knows other brands worth checking out?

  1. For outdoor *portable* use I feel ipad is still way to go tbh, paired with those paperlike screen protector.

Unless you don’t mind bringing laptop or using it along with your phone, then something like wacom intuos can be really good. It’s also pretty cheap, going for like 6k yen or so used in mercari.

Another option is probably windows tablet like raytrektab, pretty affordable. It’s marketed for drawing too, so you get the benefit of wacom’s pen without breaking your wallet.
