No you’ll be fine. They put short shelf life due to quality degradation(rice gets harder, veggie gets soggy, nori gets soggy, etc.)
NOT due to food safety reasons.

Take a shot of vodka before eat and after. You’ll be fine
Smell it first
You should be perfectly fine. As long as you eat it as soon as you arrive home within the day. The rice will get unappetizingly tough long before you reach the sell-by date, especially so in room temperature. So it’s recommended you enjoy it promptly.
