I’m planning to move to Tokyo next July, currently I consider my Japanese level in N4 (didn’t present a JLPT but I’m taking a conversational course between N4-N3 and feel comfortable).
The thing is, looked for a Japanese school I researched a few of they and almost all have a lot of complaints about the methodology, the main focus is the input excessive use, the students almost never have opportunity to practice the speaking.
Schools like Akamonkai, ISI, Tokyo Galaxy, ARC, ECC, KAI etc. are the most famous but at my understanding have the same issue.
I would like to know if existe some good school which focuses on output practice.
I do not know if the input problem is a systematic issue in the Japanese school teachings method or we have another alternative to learn Japanese in a Japanese school.
The course that I mentioned before 70% is conversational and the other 30% is grammar and JLPT exercises and I love it however I have the strong intention of study in Japan.
In my current school options list the first one is Akamonkai because spite of they have the same issues, is intensive, use old methods etc. is the one how have more good comments had by former students.
If do not exists this kind of school in Japan, Which one do you consider to be the best? Or at least the least worst.
I know that if you are in Japan should have a lot of opportunities to practice but being honest, If you will pay almost one million yen for a tuition (one year), Why do you have to settle on just going to school to have teachers read the grammar books page by page?
PS: I’m not English native speaker, sorry for the writing mistakes in advance.
