**About me and the trip**
* Solo traveler, 7th trip to Japan, 37 prefectures visited so far (40 at the end of this trip).
* Have already been to Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kumamoto and Beppu. I will likely skip some of the popular sights in the city where I will return.
* Usually stay in hostels for lower accommodation costs, but will splurge for a night in a ryokan with kaiseki meal at least once (should be in Kirishima).
* Traveling with a backpack and used to move almost daily, this suits my travel style.
* Will be part of a longer trip from early March to the end of May.
* The attractions in each city are options, I am really flexible, might end up doing everything or even just completely changing plans.
**Interest**
* **History**: especially the Bakumatsu period, really looking forward to visiting locations related to Sakamoto Ryoma and the Satsuma clan, etc.
* **Temple/Shrine/Castle**: I can’t help myself, I always end up visiting a lot of them.
* **Pilgrimage/Stamp Rally**: I like the challenge of pilgrimage that requires visiting a specific set of temple/shrine, same for stamp rally. I will bring my top 100 castle of Japan book and add some stamps in it.
* **Food**: I would not call myself a foodie, but I want to try regional dishes.
* **Beer**: unless something special, I won’t list in the itinerary, but I will use the app Untappd to find local beer to try during my trip.
* **Tea** : I know Kagoshima is known for its tea production, so planning on visiting a tea plantation for first harvest.
* **Hololive**: not really expecting to find collab event in Kyushu (apart from konbini collab).
* **Rhinoceros beetle and stag beetle**: with that you can guess who is my favorite holomember. I would like to see live beetles, but might just go to a store in Tokyo.
* **Math Rock and Post-Rock** : Likely going to check for shows around Tokyo.
**Questions**
* Nagasaki : If you did the Gunganjima tour, would you say it’s worth adding a day in Nagasaki for it? I am on the fence between it looks cool and it’s a bit expensive. Just seeing the cost for the Museum in Nagasaki I think I would even skip that.
* Do you have any attraction and local dish suggestion ? or any other comment.
* I am also open to question.
