8 Day Tokyo Itinerary Layout; Thoughts?

Without going into specifics of what venues we will visit, here is our 8 day lineup

Day 1: Shinjuku Area. Day activities/shopping followed by nightlife of Omoide Yokocho, kabukicho, golden gai

Day 2: Meji Jingu, yoyogi, Takashita, Harajuku, Shibuya and Shibuya nightlife

​

Day 3: Tokyo Tower, Zojo-Ji, Roppongi area for museums, Tokyo City View at night, Roppongi nightlife or shinjuku

​

Day 4: Akihabara area, Ikebukuro in the late afternoon/evening (including sunshing city), end going anywhere for nightlife activity or staying in ikebukuro

Day 5: Explore meguro river and bridge, Asakura Residence, Follow line to several museums and zoos (optional stops). Reach and explore Ghibli Museum. Chuo to closest station near Suginami Animation Museum. Chuo to Koenjikita. Chuo to Nakano. Jojo Style Bar. End by going to nightlife district of choice

Day 6: Explore imperial palace gardens and area. Cross through marunouchi. Lunch in Ginza. Tsukiji Market. Walk through Shinbashi. Visit choice nightlife district

Day 7: Ueno. Ameyoko Shopping St. Shitamachi museum. Ueno Park. Museums (national and nature). Visit nezu, nezu-jinja, yanaka ginza. Reach Nishi Nippori station, choice nightlife district

Day 8: From ueno to asakusa. Visit senso ji and surrounding markets. Train to tokyo skytree. Train to Odaiba. Visit odaiba area for Mall, gundam base, TV Building, Science center, Tokyo Big Sight, TeamLab Planets. Nightlife district.

Is this too packed? Or too little? Are the combination of districts here well considered, or do things like asakusa and odaiba juxtapose too much? IS there anything you’d personally skip, like shinbashi, nezu, or yanaka? Any fat you’d personally cut?

Moreover, are there any places you wish you’d have spared 2 days for?
