Hello, everyone! I’ve been searching an endocrinologist for a while. Could anyone please recommend any English speaking doctors in this area? I’ve already checked the St.Luke’s hospital and Saitama Red Cross hospital. They have additional fee for newcomers (around 8000 yen), which I can’t afford. Any suggestions are appreciated.

To see a specialist you will have to pay a fee one of two ways. The first way is go to your naika and get a letter of introduction (紹介状) describing your symptoms to give to the hospital which will wave the introductory fee. The second way is to pay that introductory fee. If your medical bills are too high for your income to cover there is a separate process to reduce that, but administrative fees or paperwork fees are not covered by insurance.
