5. I was listening to the flagship and they said WWE was also interested in hikuleo. I like, don’t get it but good for him.

6. As someone who was not regularly tuning into NJPW and as someone that new him by name, Wrestlekingdom was the first time I’ve seen him wrestle and the man is a undeniably a star

11. I hope he goes where he’s the most valued, but man…seeing Tama in anything other than NJPW will be a hard adjustment.

12. WWE were interested in Tama Tonga back in 2016. He instead chose to stay with New Japan if they brought in Tanga Loa. It’ll be interesting to see what he does now as he’s always been focused on making it in Japan, and he’s also always been open about wanting to be alongside his brothers.

    But he has a young child now, which could make working less Japanese tours more attractive to him. And there’s ready made angles for him on the main roster with his ties to The OC and Balor. (GOD vs. The Usos would be fun too.)

    Personally hope he stays with New Japan, for now at least.

13. At this point if i were him I’d wait to see what’s going happen with WWE now that Vince is back

14. His deal is up in a couple of weeks. It all depends on the money and the future of his singles run. I’d want him to stay but I’ll understand if he went. He has a family and can’t be easy traveling to Japan all the time

15. Would be a shame after his resurgence in the last year or so, but wouldn’t be the end of the world

16. How hilarious would it be if WWE just keeps signing every Never Openweight champ lol. New Japan finally catches on and starts putting the belt on all the guys they’re trying to get rid of.

17. Tama isn’t going to WWE. He’s been incredibly outspoken about how loyal he is to NJPW on his podcast. You guys need to understand that no everyone wants to go there. And just because WWE has interest in someone doesn’t mean they’ll get that someone.

25. HHH is in hoard mode. NJPW feels like it’s finally getting some momentum again but WWE wants to hurt it since Sasha went there. With Vince trying to sell, they will most likely be budget cuts. Whoever signs better get guaranteed money.

29. With Vince back in the company, This Rumor is shot down faster than Tony Khan signing them to an Exclusive AEW Contract. The Reason I say those is because Vince Favors N.I.L. (Next In Line) More than The Indy Scene.

32. If I had a nickel for every time WWE had interest in a NEVER openweight champion while they were holding the belt, I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it’s happened twice

33. Wont be a big loss to NJPW…Tama has been in the company for a really long time now and his progression is really slow…i just dont see him moving further in NJPW..he needs a new scenery

37. Think tama is quite loyal to the company tbh seems that way to me and after they have given him this push as a baby face and doing it in the clap era which is really difficult to do and they done it really well!

    I hope he doesn’t leave he has always been one of my favourites in NJPW but I guess money does talk unfortunately especially in these times!

39. Ngl, I’d like to see a rivalry between him and Roman. Seeing as one is Samoan and the other is Tongan. Plus they had small drama on twitter if I’m correct.

43. Honestly I wouldn’t wanna see that, from my experience all that’s gonna happen is they’re gonna water him down, change his finisher, name, and character. Seems like they don’t believe someone is a draw unless they were popular in the NA scene beforehand, Roman, Rock, Drew, that weird out of nowhere Juicer Mahal push, and the list goes on. They’d either slap him into NXT, or put him in some feud with The Miz, or Chad Gable and then into obscurity he goes. But, as everyone seems to be noting, he does have a child to take care of so it’s up to him in the long run
