UK Applications starting time?

I’m from the UK, and I’ll be in my 3rd and final year of university this September. My question is, when do the applications for Jet open for the July/August spot? Also, do I have to pick up an application form in person at the embassy, or can it be posted to me?

  1. They open every fall (it varies by country), but it’s usually around end of September. Your country’s website will have a timeline.

Apply in the fall, interview in January/February, results around April, depart in July.

Most countries have the entire application online now.

  2. It’s all applied for online, you need to check here. https://www.jet-uk.org/
Applications open towards the back end of the year for departure the next year. The website will be updated once the applications are open so you just need to keep an eye on it 👌 good luck!

  3. September is the usual time Applications go live. However, last year in Australia (at least), it was quite a bit sooner (mid-late October).

Regardless, start getting yourself organised. Look online for a previous year’s application checklist and look through things. Some may argue against this, but id recommends reading example SoPs and making a rough draft. It seems super early but will help significantly if you are struggling to come up with tangible examples needed within the SOP criteria.

The most frustrating and stressful part (at least for me) is the University documents as it’s usually the last thing. If need be, talk to someone in admin at your University to confirm when the graduation ceremonies take place to see if you need to request the admin for class documents and letter of expected graduation in lieu of graduation documents (diploma and testamur) if paperwork is needed prior to graduation.
