I’m reading a book containing the phrase 「笑いあり、涙あり」.
The pitch accent pattern of 涙 is 頭高, but [OJAD](https://www.gavo.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ojad/phrasing/index) suggests that 涙あり becomes 中高 with the accent falling after あ. I was unable to find 〜あり in the NHK accent dictionary and suspect (assuming OJAD is correct) that this is a more general rule that I’m missing.
Is there a general rule that explains why 涙 loses its 頭高 accent in 涙あり?

Have you watched all of Dogen’s free (non comedic) pitch accent YouTube videos? Many many words can lose their basic pitch accent pattern when they are conjugated differently, having different prefixes, suffixes, affixes, etc.
