So I’m seeing さん usage with stores.

[https://wildnihongo.com/grammar/ya-store-name/](https://wildnihongo.com/grammar/ya-store-name/) mentions さん to indicate the owner. So in 本屋さん, it would be the book store owner.
Which one is correct?

Back on the day there were many independent stores. To visit the bookstore was to visit the bookstore owner. They’re both correct because the word for the owner has become synonymous with the store – even a chain store!
