If money wasn’t a factor, a 2~3 hours 2~3 times a week. (4~9 hours)
If time also wasn’t a factor, a couple of hours every day. (~14 hours)
Probably even more if I were a beginner. (+20 hours)
Otherwise, none at all, especially considering alternatives like language exchange.
I did 1 hour a day, but I also have a lot of disposable income so that’s not practical for most
Italki offers a wide range of tutors at between 10-20 USD for 30-60 minutes. If you had the money you could do it everyday.
I’d also say it depends on your goal. If you’re gearing up for a speaking test like the ACTFL OPI, a few hours a week (2-4), for sure. If you’re just looking to practice what you’ve learned in a week, maybe just once or twice.
I would start with 2 hours, once per week and see how it feels.
