Dined at the cutest and most horrifying bear hot pot in Japan, Kuma-chan Onsen in Shibuya. Literally watched the cute collagen bear melt away in horror and turn into tasty soup. The restaurant itself is also bear themed, from wall decorations and bear plushies down to its water cups.

  1. This is the way I feel when I look at cookbooks with lamb recipes that include photos of cute kids prancing on green fields.

  2. What flavor was it?

Trying to understand how you can mold the soup into a bear in the first place. They must have used gelatin or the stock has enough collagen in it to make it solid.

Seeing it molded into a cute animal makes me think it was a sweet though.

  3. I’ve seen this from the samurai janjiro channel as they have been the way I learned about Japanese food
