This is a pretty specific question for a relatively small number of Kiwis here in Japan, but any tips would be appreciated. I know ANA and United are Star Alliance partners, so maybe any of their cards might have a good conversion rate to Air NZ miles. Or are there not any really good options? Cheers.

Youre probably safer getting something with ANA, as when it comes time to book flights (assuming Japan-NZ flights), you probably won’t find any availability for the Air NZ flights with United but would with ANA.
