I am looking for a specific prescription drug that has been legal in Japan for the past few years.
How do you know which doctors do which procedures and prescribe which medication?
Is there a specific database that says which doctors prescribe which drugs?
I would also prefer to find a dentist that does not put in metal fillings and uses the white type instead.
In Japanese only that is fine also. Thanks.

What drug? If it’s something specific you need to go to the doctor for that type of problem. Like if it’s for urinary problem go to a urologist, hormone related go to a endocrinologist etc.
Almost no dentists use amalgam fillings anymore. They use composite. If you want ceramic or gold you need to pay for it.
As far as I know most doctors can prescribe most prescription medicine.
The only exception I’ve personally encountered is concerta, which requires a special license or something. I don’t think there’s a public list of doctors that can prescribe it.
