I’d recommend making cards with the kanji you learn.
Kanji on the front
Furigana, Translation, picture and audio on the back
Edit: as in, making vocab cards with kanji you know (just to preemptively clear some confusion). Also, Putting making your own note type with a word and sentence is also helpful if you want to switch down the line, and have your cards homogeneous
it’s up to you but a kinda standard way is:
Front: A Japanese word
Back: The meaning of the word (English) and a sound which is someone saying the word. Also if the word has kanji the reading could be here, but I use hover-over furigana so in my case the reading is in the front of the card, just hidden unless I hover (which usually makes me mark the card wrong).
Notes section: Any tricks to help you remember it can go here. The notes should only display on the back of the card, as well.
