If they do it again I hope they advertise the hell out of the show.
Atmosphere was fantastic that evening but attendance wasn’t the greatest.
Super sad I missed this show. I had tickets right next to the ramp. My goal was to high five as many wrestlers as I can. I even convinced three coworkers to get tickets. Unfortunately a business opportunity came up out of state so I gave my tickets to a friend.
One of the best shows I ever attended
The ovation they got when the bell rang was incredible. The fans were on fire so much that it surprised Tanahashi. He didn’t think they’d react that loudly.
Me and my friend went to this show. Attendance was very low for the stadium’s capacity, only the first tier of seats were available to purchase and and upper decks were tarped off so it was pretty echoey, but the atmosphere itself was absolutely electric. I’d love for NJPW to come back but I think going with a smaller arena they can pack is probably the move than going back to the AAC
Damn, strong tapings don’t even count here. The game rough af.
I was there
Okada needs to go back to an attire like this again.
I always thought it’d be amazing if the g1 was split into 4 blocks. 1 in north America. 1 in Europe. 2 in Japan.
Toronto is the biggest market in North America that has never hosted an NJPW event….
We deserve it first.
Underrated part of that show was Scott Norton signing autographs in the concourse, I marked out. You know, and Okada Tanahashi.
I miss New Japan putting on quality, authentic shows in the US. I don’t like the NewJapan/AEW/ROH/Indy shows they’ve been doing for a few years now. Give me main roster talent with a young lion match to kick off the show, some tags, and a few singles with some stakes. Cerulean blue too, not a generic Highspots ring.
Was at this show, deffo one of the best nights of my life
My section was EXCEEDINGLY smelly tho
I cant think of a better place than right here in H-Town!
I want them to come to Canada so bad
I didn’t get the hype until I saw him live. His charisma fills the room. He’s fucking cool.
Event?
There advertising has been shitty for international shows lately to be fair. I live in Australia, and the first I heard of the Sydney and Melbourne shows was Gino mentioning it during WK. They officially announced it a day later for Feb, but still no venue info, tix prices or card details, and it’s now less than a month away. Id have to travel interstate, so at this point I don’t think it’s viable for me. Really disappointed.
I had tickets next to the ramp and one of the feathers came loose from Tanahashi’s jacket as he passed by. Still have it!
