Can I teach sports/athletics on a Humanities visa?

I’ve been toying with the idea of opening my own BJJ/yoga studio for some time. I ran a rather popular grappling club at a community center pre-covid but it fell apart due to the overwhelming covid restrictions.

Now that things are slightly relaxing covid wise, In thinking about taking the leap. Would teaching a martial art/yoga be considered skilled labor and therefore covered by my current visa status? I have the pedigree to argue that I offer a skill that can’t be done by a normal Japanese laborer.

Any and all advice would be appreciated, even toxic comments. Only if they’re funny though. And yes, I’m a dancing monkey currently.

  1. I would hit up their labor division and immigration? Plus whatever is required to open up such a studio and etc.
