Hello sorry preemptively for the long post. I’m new to reddit and the page in general, but I have heard there are always people with amazing feedback. I am going to Japan with my girlfriend as her Masters grad gift and I feel a little out of my depth as I have never planned a trip before let alone take someone along with me. I am planning out days before and after meeting some friends out there but I have a couple questions and concerns about feasibility and navigating the public transportation system. **Questions/Concerns**
* Are Pasmo or Suica Cards different from a JR Pass? Which is more cost effective? And based on the rails/buses listed on the itinerary can I get by with one or the other? (Truly lost on this issue)
* I have seen that most of these places need tickets bought months prior on specific days. Is there a thread or guide that lets you know about some of these dates for some of these places?
* Is my overall itinerary feasible?
* Any suggestions/advice/tips for any part of this highly appreciated
