Super excited for my first vacation since 2019. Im leaving in a few weeks to japan on a last decision trip due to a flight deal. Could use some assistance with my updated itinerary to make sure im not crazy.
Primary questions I have for you all.
* Anything too condensed?
* Most importantly, i really want to see a concert when im in Japan. Any good sites or venues i should search for while im there? (Rock, shoegaze, metal, pop, whatever). I usually stop at Dearstage in Akihabara when im nearby for the experience, but would like to see a rock show if i can. Also any Jazz bars in Tokyo or Osaka would be amazing
* Are there other good nearyby Ryokan/Onsens that I could visit to relax before the rest of my trip? II have lots of tattoos

* Ueno (Ueno park/zoo)
* Asakusa (Senso-ji, Nakamise st.)
* Meet somewhere to grab drinks with friends
**1/27 D3-1 – TRAVEL To Kyoto**
**Maybe morning fish market**
* Train to Arashiyama
* Monkey Park
* Arashiyama Bamboo Forest
* Okochi Sanso Garden
**1/28 D4-2 – Kyoto**
* Katsura Imperial Villa
* ToJi Temple
* Philosopher’s Path
* (Laundry Day)
**1/29 D5-3 – Kyoto**
* Universal Studios
**1/30 D6-4 – Osaka**
* Umeda Sky
* Osaka Aquarium
* Dotonbori
**1/31 D7-5 – Osaka**
* Temple Run
* Fushimiinari
* Maybe Kiyomizu-dera
* Nishiki Market
**2/1 D8-6 – Free Day – Stay in Osaka, more Kyoto things?**
* Take it easy and explore
* Maybe evening train back so I can make to to Ryokan with JR Pass
2/2 D9-7 (JR Pass used today – head back)
* Back to Tokyo (10 hour train) gonna be tired chill day.
* Likely take Fuji Express to Kawaguchiko and stay at ryokan for 2 nights
**2/4-2/8 Chill in tokyo. See Friends. Fly back**

Is there no way for you to buy JR pass before leaving? It’s more expensive buying in the country. Based on the current itinerary, buying the pass might not be worth it since there’s not that many long train trips.
