I got a job in Tokyo as an ALT with one of the dispatch companies. I was asked to pay for health insurance, which I did. I was later asked to pay for an apartment in order to get accommodation certificate, as this certificate is required for visa application. I would appreciate advice on this, is this genuine? I would also appreciate more clarification on how the whole process works. Thank you.
