Itinerary Check – Mid March

Hello! We are a family of 4 who will be traveling to Tokyo and Osaka for two weeks, from March 12 to March 24. We are two adults and a 13 year old and a 14 year old.

In Tokyo, we will stay at Tokyu Stay Shinjuku Eastside. Our itinerary is as follows:

Sunday – arrive at 4pm, get dinner nearby, go back to the hotel to rest!

Monday – Meiji-Jinju Shrine and Yoyogi Park in the morning, then Kanda Mojin + Akihabara in the afternoon / evening.

Tuesday – DisneySea

Wednesday – Studio Ghibli Museum (we have requested tickets through Viator) and then maybe the Inokashira park afterward. In the afternoon / evening, we will go to Shibuya sky to watch the sunset.

Thursday – Street market leading up to Senso-ji, look around Senso-ji, head to the Tokyo National museum then Pokemon cafe for lunch (if we can get a reservation). In the afternoon, we plan to go to the Shinjuku Gyoen National garden.

Friday – team labs planets, Kirby cafe, and Harajuku alley in the afternoon.

Saturday – no plans yet!! 🙁

Sunday – Check out of hotel, maybe hang around Tokyo a bit more and then take the train to Osaka.

Monday – day trip to Nara from Osaka, and then in the afternoon, teamlabs botanical gardens

Tuesday – day trip to Kyoto (need ideas for the best places to see and experience in Kyoto) and a sumo match in the afternoon (we will try to buy tickets on 2/13)

Wednesday – Universal Studios

Thursday – Osaka Castle + Dontonbori / Don Quixote Ferris wheel

Friday – take the train back to Tokyo for our flights leaving at 6pm

Any advice / feedback is super welcomed!!

I know that the first blooms of the Sakura are predicted to come on March 22, and we’re leaving on March 24, so any advice about how to adjust our last two days to catch some of the blooms is also very welcome!

Thank you 🙏🏽
