Usually U Next gets shows same day or day later if that’s what their release schedule days. Check their website on when it will be available on their platform.
As an aside, I love U Next. If you’re a film buff, it has a lot of content—especially older films that you can’t find anywhere else for streaming in Japan.
I just signed up for U-NEXT so that I can watch it and the new GoT spinoff. LoU still isn’t online yet but their promo says it will start today, so I expect it will be online by this evening.
Signing up for U-NEXT was a pain, though. It failed through the U-NEXT apps on my TV, my Apple TV, and my Fire TV Stick because it won’t bill through those services. There is an option through Google Play to pay with PayPal but it fails every time. I ended up having to sign-up directly on their website with a credit card. It looks like that’s the only payment option they accept.
You get a 30-day free trial, though, so at least you won’t be charged for the first month.
