I’m looking to start creating/ publishing low content materials.
I’d appreciate any tips or advice.
I’m curious if there are any hurdles for foreigners setting up the Amazon selling account.
My main target will be the Amazon US site although I plan on releasing niche items on Amazon Japan.
I understand it takes time before seeing any results.
I will eventually shift to medium content books (workbooks, coloring books, travel companions, etc.), but I want to start with the low content materials to familiarize myself with the platform.

You might want to try r/selfpublish
I’ve got over 10 books on Amazon (kindle and paperback) and it makes a nice monthly side income for me.
You don’t need to select what market you release to. You can sell to I think 12+ marketplaces automatically.
I recommend going for the 70% royalty package, which means you have to release on KDP select. It’s a great way to get eyes on your stuff.
Make use of the pre-order function. I wish I had done it for my earlier books but now that I have somewhat of a following, it makes sense to do that
