I hope the court rules in favor of the family but I’m not going to hold my breath.
This would not even be news if happened to an illegal Mexican immigrant in Texas.
Makes sense seeing how discriminatory Japan is.

The law should be amended and they should be forced to return home.
If this is allowed to happen, illegal aliens will flood into Japan.
Used to be there was a dead African going home in handcuffs from Japan at least once a year. I would have thought the Japanese learned their lesson.
