Hi I’m currently in Tokyo and I’ve been trying to play in Tokyo and I don’t understand a few things.
1. When I’ve landed a ball into the middle start hole and I get a spin, what happens if I keep turning the wheel and get more balls into the middle start hole during the spin?
Do spins accumulate? Does my spin have a better chance of hitting the jackpot if I get more balls in the start hole during the spin? I’m so confused about this.
2. What happens if I hit the jackpot, play whatever jackpot game and win a lot of balls don’t have that red ball rectangular tray beneath the emptying panel?
If the holding tray of the machine is filled to full, do balls just overflow or does the machine pause to allow players to empty the holding tray? Or do players lose balls they could’ve won?
Thanks! Loving Tokyo

I’m no expert but I have (had maybe) enough experience to answer your first question. The machine will stock a certain number of spins if you activate the slots in quick succession.
1. While it’s spinning, if you get a ball in the hole you can accrue more spins. The number of spins you have remaining should be indicated by some sort of symbol on the bottom of the screen. It’s usually a gem or something like that. You can usually bank up to 5 spins max. Whether you get a ball in or not while it has spinning has no influence on the outcome of the spin.
2. A lot of stores have moved away from the trays and now have counting machines installed in the pachinko machine. So when you get a jackpot, you open up the chute and it counts how many balls you win. That tally is then put on a card you bring to the prize counter.
If the shop you’re going to still has trays, you can press the 呼出 button and a staff member will come by and replace your tray when it gets full.
Up on top if you have too many balls it can make it hard for the machine to feed balls so sometimes you have to move them down by hand. When you get a jackpot, you obviously need to open the chute to allow the balls to fall into the tray.
Dammit we had someone who actually worked programming pachinko machines a bunch of years ago but he wandered off… I have no idea though…
