  2. Lmao is takeshita ends up in njpw him working aew will be such a disaster for ddt. It’s not great currently but njpw have been eyeing this dude off for years and its way more acceptable for him to go ddt -> US -> njpw

  3. Great thought but Konosuke is still with DDT and there’s no way he’d be able to. It’s a nice dream scenario but wouldn’t happen. I know people think he left DDT but that’s not the case. He’s signed with AEW but he’s also still under contract as well to DDT and has been doing shows with DDT as well this year.

  4. I’m not totally sold on Takeshita yet but I would be so hyped up if Bryan entered this year’s G1.

    Give me Bryan vs a modern day ZSJ already!

  5. I think there should just be a G1 in America. Put it on IWTV or something, feature wrestlers from all over the place.

  8. There’s a good amount of AEW wrestlers that should be included in the G1 tournament. Bryan Danielson, Ricky Starks, Hangman Page, Darby Allin (although he’d probably be a better fit for Best of the Super Jrs.) Keith Lee would be my initial group to send to a G1

  9. 100 percent feel the same danielson and takeshita are probably the 2 aew wrestles I’d want most in the g1, claudio would be a solid 3rd option

  10. Lots of fun speculation to have regarding the blocks this year. Even without any guest appearances we’ll see some fresh matchups with Narita and Umino in the mix (I’d imagine they’re both a lock to be in it?)

    Love Soup but if there’s a Cyberfight guest you’d have to assume it’d be from NOAH. As for AEW, Danielson is obviously the dream but I’d love a Japan run for Claudio.

  12. I understand the fantasy, but there’s guys who’ve been waiting 2-3 years to get cycled in. And Tony doesn’t want Bryan eating pins, it’s not worth it.

  17. Much as I love Takeshita to wrestle in a New Japan ring and take on Okada, I prefer he didn’t. Not because he is under contract with DDT and AEW. But because if he did and New Japan wants to keep him, he’s going to overshadow all of the younger talent and young lions who are grinding their way to get themselves over – especially guys like Shota, Narita, and Wato, who are all New Japan Dojo Alumni. Already he’s made such an impact in AEW that Wheeler Yuta is a mere afterthought.

    I say let Takeshita fight any New Japan talent at Forbidden Door and lose, as he is just that over with the AEW crowd. But keep him off the New Japan ring until he is truly a free agent and Shota/Narita/Wato have gotten super over with the Japanese crowd and can do big matches.

    Bryan in New Japan in any capacity is a no-brainer. G1, and expect New Japan’s international audience to boom.

  22. Bryan in the G1 would be great, but I’d be worried about him staying healthy. I’d bet money he’d come out of that tournament having to miss at least 6 weeks with another concussion.

    Btw, wouldnt it be awesome If the miz and bray wyatt did a g1?
