Hello, I am a prospective student from the U.S. looking for a University in Japan. I am considering to apply to Waseda University(Nishi-Waseda Campus), Tsukuba University, and Ritsumeikan University (Osaka Ibaraki Campus).
How are these areas in terms of being country side? I don’t want it to be too quiet since I am coming from a heavily country sided place.

None of these are “countryside” campuses. Tsukuba is suburban and the other two are the middle of the world’s 1st and 10th largest cities.
Have you gone on Google Maps for Nishiwaseda? Or any of these other campuses, for that matter? Calling anything directly between Shinjuku and Ikebukuro “country side” is hilarious.
