Hi,
Planning to visit Japan/Korea in the fall. Traveling with my sister, her husband and 7 y.o daughter. My sister and I travel well together :). We are city people from Chicago. Looking for some feedback on this tentative private tour. I made some of my own adjustments and mapped each of the proposed locations. Hoping this might ease up some of the jam packed itinerary days, I understand this is at most two days in a single location and maybe 2hrs in each place and travel time. We explore lunch and dinner on our own. So much to explore, I’m overwhelmed. I’d send my own visitors to the Art Institute, River Cruise, the blue line train etc as landmarks and travel options. Are we hitting overly touristy areas with this plan? Thanks

Your italics seem fine, with these exceptions: Saphir Odoriko train doesn’t connect any of the locations you’re travelling, so I’m confused how it ended up here. And with “Skip Osaka to Jeju,” I’m not sure what you mean — are you thinking of cutting Jeju, or something else?
IMO, five full days is extremely short to do Tokyo, Kyoto, and Fuji/Hakone. The stuff on the itinerary is top tourist locations only. Given the short amount of time you have in those destinations, that’s a bit necessary. And the choice of attractions makes sense. But I would recommend to stay longer if possible, or consider cutting Fuji/Hakone for more time in Tokyo.
